Four KIDA Units Compete at WGI Regional Shows

This weekend, four units from the Keystone Indoor Drill Association successfully participated in WGI (Winter Guard International) Regional contests. Participating at the South Brunswick Regional competition were Gov. Thomas Johnson Color Guard of Frederick, Maryland, Mechanicsburg Color Guard of Mechanicsburg, PA, and the Villa Pirata Color Guard of Millersville University. Participating in the Norristown Percussion Regional competition was Mechanicsburg Percussion of Mechanicsburg, PA.

Results for the show were as follows:

South Brunswick Color Guard Regional
Mechanicsburg High School – 2nd Place (Scholastic Open Finals)
Gov. Thomas Johnson High School – 15th Place (Scholastic A Prelims)
Villa Pirata – 16th Place (Independent A Prelims)

As a member of KIDA, all units are eligible to substitute one KIDA sponsored show with a WGI sponsored show during the KIDA season. This show will be credited towards the total number of shows needed to qualify for KIDA Championships.

KIDA would like to congratulate the student, staff, and parents of all these programs as they find success in WGI.
